Bharat Apps Infotech ("we", "us", or "our") operates the WeightLens BMI Tracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

🔒 Privacy-First Commitment: WeightLens is built with an offline-first architecture. All your personal physical measurements, weight logs, BMI calculations, and profile names are stored 100% locally on your own mobile device. We do not require accounts, logins, or upload your health records to external servers.

1. Information Collection & Storage

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide (Stored Locally on Device Only):

  • Physical Metrics: Height, weight logs, target weight, fitness goals (loss/gain/maintenance), and date/timestamps.
  • Personal Profile (Optional): Your preferred name or nickname used solely for local in-app greetings (e.g., "Good Morning, Alex").
  • Lifestyle Context Tags: Optional tags associated with your weight logs (e.g., Salty Meal, Heavy Workout, Poor Sleep).
  • App Settings: Unit preference (Metric/Imperial), UI theme mode (Light/Dark/System), and local notification reminder times.

All the above data is stored strictly in your device's local sandboxed memory (SharedPreferences / local SQLite) and is never transmitted to our servers.

B. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services:

  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): To support ongoing app development and provide free access to features, the App integrates Google Mobile Ads. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / AAID, IP address, device model, and ad interaction statistics) in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google Ads Policy.
  • Diagnostic & Performance Data: Standard anonymized crash traces and performance reports may be collected via Google Play Console to ensure app stability.

2. How Your Information is Used

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

  • To calculate your BMI, True Trend moving averages, healthy weight boundaries, and goal progress locally on your device.
  • To display personalized in-app greetings and custom profile headers.
  • To trigger local scheduled morning weigh-in reminders at your chosen hour.
  • To generate a CSV spreadsheet report when requested by you to share with your personal healthcare professional or trainer.
  • To display banner, native, interstitial, and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob.

3. Device Permissions Explained

The App requests only the minimum required permissions on Android:

  • android.permission.INTERNET & android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required solely for Google Mobile Ads delivery and user-initiated actions (e.g., sending feedback emails or opening store pages).
  • android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Required only if you choose to enable local daily weigh-in reminders.
  • android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Used solely to restore your local scheduled daily reminder when your device restarts.
  • android.permission.VIBRATE: Provides subtle haptic feedback for user interactions.

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, GPS/location, contacts, or device media files.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

  • We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal health data to any third party.
  • Your physical logs, height, name, and notes never leave your mobile device.
  • Device identifiers and ad interaction metadata are handled directly by Google AdMob according to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. User Rights, Data Control & Deletion

You have full and permanent control over all your data:

  • Edit / Delete Logs: You can edit or delete individual weight logs at any time from the History screen.
  • Permanent Complete Reset: You can permanently erase all stored logs, names, and preferences by navigating to Settings → Reset All Data.
  • App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the App immediately and permanently erases all locally stored sandboxed data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since personal health metrics are stored locally on your device, we have no access to or control over this information.

7. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

  • For EU/EEA Users (GDPR): Because all health metrics are processed and stored locally on your device without server-side processing, you retain full data sovereignty. Ad consent is managed according to Google's EU User Consent Policy.
  • For California Users (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal health metrics with third parties.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
